Dave and Maiko Wilkie operate Perth English Academy as a small home-based school. Classes are very small; from 1 to 5 students, so individual attention is maximized. This high quality of teaching comes at the same price as schools with classes of 16 students and accommodation two bus rides away. (Full time $330 per week, Part time $250 per week.) Homestay prices start at $230 per week.
We are also associated with the Milner International College of English EnglishStay programme.
Dave has been teaching for 18 years. He has worked at Curtin University and the University of WA as well as Phoenix Academy and Language Links. He has also worked in Japan and Indonesia. He holds a CELTA grade A ( a very rare distinction) a TESOL qualification and a BSc.
Dave spent many years traveling around the world and picked up 7 languages along the way. He also worked as a parachute instructor for 15 years before retiring from the position of chief instructor at one of the busiest parachuting centers in Australia.

External students are welcome. If you already have accommodation in Perth you can still join our class. We are located in Joondanna (Near Mount Hawthorne and Osborne Park) on bus routes 276, 277and 278.
